President's Perspective

The WNY IoPP Chapter welcomes all members, student members and packaging friends to another year of packaging tours, trade shows, lectures, and sharing knowledge. The 2007 golf tournament was successful netting more than $4,500 to support WNY Chapter initiatives and the RIT Packaging Science program. National membership continues to grow and WNY membership remains strong.

I hope all members take advantage of at least one event and remember our Board Meetings are open to all. Our goals this year will include: web site improvements, sponsoring six or more events, further refinement of the Mentoring Program and Scholarship Program for students and continuing education for packaging professionals.

All this does not happen without the efforts of many. Thanks, to the companies that open their facilities for tours, board members who give of their time and knowledge, member volunteers, students and friends of IoPP.
