Buffalo & Syracuse Events

A Buffalo area WNY IoPP Chapter member is needed to help organize one Buffalo area event each year. You would be a member of the Program Committee but would be able to handle almost all organizational tasks through e-mail communication. If you are interested please contact Tom Falls at 585.225.5135.
Gus Castle of SPG is the Syracuse area Program Committee representative; if you would like to help Gus please contact him at 315.558.4237.

Information Packaging Corp (IPC) Tour

Join us for a great tour of Information Packaging -- an envelope and box manufacturer utilizing unique equipment to produce high quality media packaging. Whether high volume CD or DVD packaging or simply a box or two, IPC is meeting media packaging needs. Event date: Tuesday, January 22. To register online visit http://www.wnyiopp.org/events/infopkg.html.

Mentor a Packaging Student

The WNY Chapter has a wonderful student mentoring program with RIT's School of Packaging Science. Seasoned packaging professionals have the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with students as they face the transition from the academic environment to the professional world. We always have students that express interest in being assigned a mentor. If you would like to counsel, guide and assist a student, please call John Kohler at 319.585.9860 or complete a short online survey at http://www.wnyiopp.org/mentoring.html. At this time of year, as you are thinking about what gift to give your spouse, child, parent or friend, please consider giving a gift of your time & experience to a student. Your participation can have a profound positive impact.
